Coaching college students to find clarity and take action in school & life

Sound familiar?

You want to make the most of college while building toward what comes after. Between classes, clubs, jobs, friends, and family, everything pulls at once, and some days you can't tell what comes first. Or you know what you want and still feel stuck.

Maybe there's a conversation you keep putting off or something you keep saying “yes” to when you actually want to say “no.” You may have something you want to start that hasn't got past the idea, and you'd love a partner in making it a reality.

How coaching helps

College is where you come into your own, with bigger decisions that are yours to make. Coaching gives you a confidential space to:

Find Clarity

Untangle what's pulling at you and get clear on what to do: what to prioritize and what to choose.

Take Action

Make a plan you'll act on. Grow confident in your decisions and ability to follow through.

What We Might Work On

Your focus may be academic, but we look at your whole life, because your academics and your social life support each other.

Yourself

  • Stress, burnout, and energy: easing the pressure, noticing what energizes or drains you, and finding your flow*

  • Inner blocks and setbacks: working through the doubts and fears that keep you from starting, and recovering when a plan falls through

  • Commitments: owning your "yes" by owning your "no"

Your relationships

  • Friendship and belonging: finding your people, and making, keeping, and repairing the friendships that last long after college

  • Family: keeping family bonds strong as you grow into yourself

  • Challenging conversations: setting boundaries and saying what's true with love

Your direction

  • Direction and purpose: using your values, interests, and strengths to choose classes and a major that fit you, explore careers, and find what feels meaningful

  • Projects: turning assignments, free time, and school breaks into work that builds your resume and tests your interests

*Coaching is separate from therapy, tutoring, and academic advising; your advisor tracks your graduation requirements. If a concern falls outside the scope of coaching, I will refer you to a licensed mental health professional.

How Coaching Works

Client led, coach structured

You decide what we work on. I bring the structure and the questions. I believe you already have the answers you're looking for, and my job is to help you find them.

In each session

  1. You bring a goal. If all you know is that you're overwhelmed, we start by clarifying it.

  2. We define success by asking, "How will we know you've got there?"

  3. You leave with next steps. I draw on my project management background to help you design actions you can take right away.

  4. We build in accountability, so each commitment has a way of getting done.

Hi, I’m Casey!

I'm a Certified Professional Coach by iPEC, a former Engineering Project Manager at Apple, Dartmouth College Engineering Science grad, mom, entrepreneur, systems thinker, and creative.

In 2020, I founded KC's Adventure Boxes: a company that sold a therapeutic activity box I designed for kids facing serious health challenges. I recount the story of how this incredibly meaningful product came to be in my TEDxTalk: "Choose Ideas that Fit You." I most recently opened my own Etsy shop as an experiment in selling interactive invitations and other products I design.

I bring concept mapping and systems thinking to my coaching as a way to help visual clients see the way the different parts of their life connect and how their thoughts, feelings, and actions flow.

I believe the truth is always kind—if it doesn't feel kind towards yourself or another person, you haven't gotten to the truth yet. My job is to help you find yours, with an open heart.

Testimonials

  • “Casey takes an empowering approach of letting the client ’steer’ the process. She has helped me to break down complex ideas and remove obstacles, and introduced me to a couple of awesome tools to continue to do so.”

    Wes H.

  • “I’m so grateful for Casey and our session. In our very first session (which I went into with a lot of confusion and fear about how to proceed in my life), I gained so much clarity. I was able to confidently see my path and act on it. The self inquiry methods she used were so helpful in allowing me the space I needed to step back and look at the situation from a place that wasn’t so emotionally involved. She has such a sweet, genuine, loving energy to her too, which creates a safe space for vulnerability and exploration. Highly recommend!”

    Maddy K.

  • “Casey has been an incredible resource as I've learned how to navigate a balancing act and gain clarity so I can live my most fulfilling life. She has a way of getting to the root of an issue - and other meaningful work - without anything feeling forced; love that I left each session with actionable tips that I can easily incorporate into my daily routine.”

    Liz H.

  • “Casey's project management background really helped me to get past some major inertia, to make progress on tasks that I've been avoiding for months.”

    Irene H.

  • "Casey's use of mind-mapping was genius!"
